Federal Investor Program
- Family net assets of at least CAD800,000.
- Have significant management experience which was accumulated during at least two of the five years prior to the date of application or decision.
- Have managed and controlled the business.
- Have managed at least 5 full time employees in a business.
Investment Requirement

Invest CAD400,000 to a Canadian government approved fund for a period of 5 years. Repayment of the funds is fully guaranteed.

Applicants can pay as low as CAD120,000 if they adopt the loan option offered by some financial institutions. No repayment is available for this option.
- No Language, age and education requirements.
- Do not need to participate in the management of the investment program, and can choose to settle in any province of Canada.
Entrepreneur
- Net assets of at least CAD300,000
- Have business experience, i.e. the applicant must have actively involved in the operation of the business during at least two of the five years prior to the date of application or decision;
- Applicant must have the intention and ability to establish, purchase or invest in a business in Canada and manage it;
- The business will employ at least one Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
- Business must be in operation within two years of landing in Canada.
Self-employed
Personal net worth of about CAD50,000 to CAD100,000;
- Has good English language skills
- Has the intention and ability to be self-employed in Canada and to make a significant contribution to the economy, culture or art in Canada. The category is most suitable for writers, artists, musicians etc.
Federal skilled-workers
- No assets requirements.
- Applicants will be assessed and scored based on their qualifications. Applicants must have a minimum of 67 points out of 100 to qualify.
- Occupation of the applicant should belong to the required skill types of the National Occupation Classification to qualify.
Quebec Investor Program
- Family net assets of at least CAD800,000.
- Has managed and controlled a business within the period 5 years prior to the application up to the visa approval;
Investment requirement:

Provincial Nominee Program
(I) Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program
- Personal net worth of at least CAD400,000;
- Has at least 50 points out of 100 of the point scoring system;
- Has at least 4 years of management experience and preferably post-secondary education;
- Applicant has to take an exploratory trip to Prince Edward Island and attend an interview with provincial government officials.
- If interview is successful, applicant has to invest CAD110,000 and pay a good faith deposit of CAD25,000 to the PEI government. This deposit will be returned after one year’s residency in the province.
- If the English language capacity of the applicant is insufficient to be interviewed in the language, a CAD20,000 language deposit has to be placed with the PEI government and will be returned if the applicant can demonstrate moderate language capacity one year after landing in PEI.
- When the application is accepted, the PEI government will issue a Nomination to the applicant and dependant family for further processing of the permanent residency status by the Federal government.
(II) Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program
- Personal net assets of at least CAD350,000;
- No language or education requirements;
- Upon approval of application, applicant should make an investment of minimum CAD150,000 in a government recognized enterprise in the province.
(III)New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program
- Personal net assets of at least CAD350,000;
- Has 50 points over the 100 scoring system;
- age 25-60;
- Have basic English language proficiency and high school education;
- Have at least 3 years management experience within the past 5 years;
- Applicant needs to take an exploratory trip to New Brunswick;
- When application is approved, applicant needs to invest CAD120,000 in a government recognized enterprise in the province.
Family Class Sponsorship
- All Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents aged 19 or over may sponsor their close relatives to become permanent residents of Canada, family class sponsorship may include:
- Spouse and fiance
- Parents and grandparents
- Brothers, sisters, nephews, niece, grandchildren (Orphaned, or under 19 and single)
- Legally adopted children
